Portugal receives its champions big time

Thousands of Portuguese have received this Monday at selection at the airport and in the city of Lisbon to celebrate Portugal’s first national team title, after conquering the European Football Championship by winning the final of Paris to France, the hostess, 1-0, with goal of Éder, a substitute, a scorer who throughout the whole season had only scored seven goals.

After the reception with the head of state, the players toured the main points of Lisbon aboard a convertible bus, which passed through the central Marqués de Pombal square, Avenida Liberdade and ended up in the Alameda Dom Afonso Henriques, before a crowd that has cheered the champions.
